Simon Says Stamp September Card Kit - Let's Celebrate

Hey folks!
I am over the moon excited about the September 2015 Card Kit by Simon Says Stamp. Not only does it feature my most favorite Simon Says colors, but it just has Fabulous (yes, capital "F") written all over it! I'll be honest, it's a rare thing when I look at an entire stamp set and can't decide which one to use first.

I'm a sucker for any stamp set I can color in. I'm a five year old at heart (Ha! Who am I kidding? I'm just a five year old. Period) and I LOVE to color. It's even better when the images are big. The Balloons in this set are just that, and although I plan on stamping them in ink at some point, my first card just had to be watercolored. I like to stick to the Card Kit colors so I went with Ranger Distress Inks in Picked Raspberry, Cracked Pistachio and Tumbled Glass was a close match for Simon Says Stamp Audre…

Clearly Besotted and Kraft Coloring

Hey folks!
I shared a card I made, not too long ago, where I used the Rose from the Clearly Besotted Happy Everything Set. The other stamp in the set has been sitting there on my desk staring at me. Well, maybe not, but ya know. 
So, I thought this would be a good time to try out something I've been wanting to do for awhile. None of these techniques are new by any means, but what I really really enjoyed about making these cards was seeing how each one came out on my own.

Jennifer McGuire and more recently, Sandy Allnock are two that I can think of off the top of my head that have done Copic Coloring on Kraft Cardstock. I started there, but I wanted to try out a couple of other mediums while I was at it. Nothing big or spectacular, but groovy nonetheless.
